Parsons the New School for Design aims to be a voice for the students in a way that fosters both community and creativity.
We Speak In Art - PAINTING PARTY!
Hi everyone! Next Thursday (Feb 16th) PSS is hosting a painting party in room 1006.
We will be painting half-canvases to send to orphans in Africa. We will have FOOD and it’s going to be REALLY FUN! Also IT LOOKS AWESOME ON YOUR RESUME!
also there will be a photographer there documenting everyone’s work!
Here’s the full description:
The members of Parsons Student Senate along with African Impact will be joining forces this semester to work on a project called, “We Speak in Art.” Together the two organizations will facilitate shared works of art on canvas by students at Parsons in New York and children at the Ezwenelisha Afterschool Clubs in South Africa. The half-created works started by Parsons students will be sent to and completed by the children in the clubs. After the works are finished they will be sent back to Parsons for an art auction event, with proceeds directly benefiting Ezwenelisha Afterschool Clubs.
The event will be held Feb 16th in 2 W 13th, room 1006 from 3-8pm.

hello and welcome back!
I just wanted to take a minute to welcome everyone back to school. I hope you all had a great break and that the first week of classes went well.
PSS is back in action! We had our first meeting of the semester on Thursday and we have a few AWESOME projects in the works. We are all super excited about them and we’ll let you know some more information soon.
